Job Description
The Fresh Mark facility in Canton Ohio is currently accepting applications for Maintenance Laborers for 2nd shift and 3rd Shifts. This position offers the opportunity to develop into a maintenance trainee and/ or mechanic.
Must be hard working detail oriented and drug free.
Wage and Benefits
- Starting labor rate of $21.75
- Shift differential of $1.50
- $100 referral bonus for 2nd shift
Key Accountabilities
- Adheres to all food safety and personal safety requirements.
- Maintains food processing building and facility equipment through field commonly accepted techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures and develop a plan to repair the failure.
- Provides maintenance support to Production Operations Group with quality repairs and excellent performance.
- Maintains daily log of repairs and submits for record.
- Conducts preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment.
- Research parts status alternative vendors and substitution parts in concert with the Parts Room Clerk.
- Submits preventative maintenance calibration verification and other such documentation in a timely manner.
- Reports actual and potential food and personal safety problems/concerns to management immediately.
- Responds to routine and emergency calls for repair and service in a timely efficient manner.
- Efficiently use hand tools electrical troubleshooting tools and power equipment
- Follow and give oral and written instructions
- Perform repairs in accordance with commonly industrial accepted practices complying with USDA and OSHA regulations
Minimum Requirements
- A successful candidate will be mechanically inclined
- Perform physical activities such as but not limited to lifting (up to 75lbs unassisted) bending standing climbing or walking.
- Safely use various manual power and safety tools common to maintenance
- Handle commonly used chemicals in accordance with SOPs and SDS
- Some departments require candidate to fabricate and create food-grade welds using MIG TIG and stick on various metals.
