Job Summary

We are looking for an Automotive Information Technology Specialist to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong knowledge of advanced module programming networking and electrical wiring. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done. Candidates should have the ability to repair communications networks and make wiring and electrical repairs. Online platform knowledge and experience preferred including website knowledge hardware and software repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership

  • Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

  • Diagnose maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including local vehicle computer networks and modules.

  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

  • 2 years of Electrical/ Computer It experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Dexterity requiring a steady hand excellent hand-eye coordination

  • Module troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

  • Advanced computer knowledge including online platforms and local networks

  • Positive friendly attitude along with an eagerness to improve

  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

  • Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively

  • Ability to learn new technology repair and service procedures and specifications

  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
