About the Role
Precor is seeking a driven and strategic Sr. Global Buyer/Planner to join our expanding Supply Chain & Ops team. Based in Shanghai this role is responsible for both strategic procurement and supply/demand planning execution across assigned categories.
This role will manage supplier relationships oversee full-cycle purchasing and lead planning activities for key global suppliers supporting the U.S. APAC and EMEA regions. This role will serve as a central liaison between Procurement Supply Chain Planning Logistics and key internal stakeholders to support delivery performance inventory health and cost optimization.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal team members to identify and implement category opportunities.
- Support the scaling of Precors capabilities by finding opportunities for efficiencies and operational improvements.
- Consistently interact with critical team members (i.e. planning logistics finance budget owners) and communicate any change in contracted terms that impacts cost and payment terms.
- Develop and manage supplier relationships within your assigned categories.
- Support ongoing performance reviews with our supply partners.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure due diligence and compliance such as customs and country of origin.
- Vendor set-up requirements.
- Master data governance for IR and SL
- Exercise diligent supervision related to Precors budget.
- Support Sourcing team reporting and supplier diversity efforts.
- Review and authorize payment of invoices and/or return of products and associated credits/refunds from supplier(s).
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience with Purchasing including supplier relationship management and performance monitoring.
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to synthesize and clearly summarize data.
- Experience working with a MRP system required Oracle or SAP preferred..
- Ability to operate at multiple altitudes and support other categories as needed.
- Strong knowledge of procurement and experience with Agile and other build-of-material (BOM) management tools preferred.
- Skilled in negotiations.
- Ability to read and comprehend Technical Drawings a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable with addressing groups leading projects and operating in matrixed teams.
- Ability to operate independently in a changing fast-paced environment and to balance multiple projects at various phases.
- Act as a self-starter and great teammate and hold a customer-first approach.
