Job Description:
The Manager Non-Invasive Cardiology supports the mission of the organization by applying leadership and managerial skills in planning organizing implementing and monitoring the daily operations of the Non Invasive Cardiology Department. The Non Invasive Cardiology Manager will assist the Director in the development and implementation of department policy and procedures as well as capital and operational budgets. The Non Invasive Cardiology Manager will manage and support the efforts of personnel to ensure compliance with all accrediting bodies.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates departmental activity.
- Assists in preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets for Non-invasive Cardiology.
- Schedules and manages staffing in a fiscally responsible manner
- Maintains IAC accreditation (echocardiography laboratory).
- Ensures department is in compliance with Joint Commission standards.
- Sets expectations monitors and ensure adequate processes/controls are in place that results in positive patient satisfaction.
- Develops and monitors processes to assure employee and physician satisfaction.
- Reviews audit trails according to established protocols to ensure correct procedural charging.
- Orders and maintains supplies in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Participates in hospital-wide committees as needed.
- Assess the need for staff and equipment and assist in completion of acquisition installation and training.
- Facilitates the recruitment retention and development of staff.
- Provide technical support and assists in coordinating EKG and Echo computer system upgrades.
- Creates reviews updates department policies and procedures as needed.
- Facilitates department quality control quality assurance and performance improvement.
Other Functions:
- Supports the educational and research initiatives of the Department
- Provides leadership in evaluation of employee performance recognizing good performance and implementing action where there is an opportunity for improvement. Assures all evaluations are completed in a timely manner
- Maintains compliance with all company policies procedures and standards of conduct
- Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned
Additional Job Description:
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in a Healthcare or related field (required)
- Masters Degree in a Healthcare or related field (preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in radiology (required)
Certification:
- Certified with ARRT ARDMS or NMTCB (preferred)
