Your role at St John of God Burwood
We are seeking applications for a Registered Nurse to join our St Raphaels Unit at Burwood on a permanent part-time basis.
Our hospital supports 95 beds that cater for patients with mental health and drug & alcohol disorders. This will be a night shift position working 57 hours per fortnight (6 nights / Monday to Sunday roster).
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing care in keeping with the Registered Nurse classification and assist in the planning implementation and evaluation of the day-to-day mental health and basic physical care requirements of patients.
The Position
Ensure patients receive the highest level of care and treatment in line with contemporary clinical nursing practice.
Ensure confidentiality for patients and that their personal information is always maintained.
Ensure hospital policies procedures and standards are adhered to and demonstrated through work practices.
Ensure all patients receive orientation to the Unit by establishing process that embraces the Mission Vision and Values of the St John of God Health Services.
Ensure patients rights are respected and that the patient is involved in all facets of their treatment.
Maintain effective Quality Activity Programs measuring the care provided to our patients.
Contribute to the development of new and current programs and practices in line with the changing needs of our patients.
The ideal candidate will possess clear and concise written and verbal communication skills along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
Successful applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia have valid national police check and working with children check.
Experience in Mental Health will be highly regarded.

We can offer you
Salary: $75381 to $105865 plus 12% Superannuation
Permanent part-time working 28.5 hours per week
Shift times: 9:30pm to 7:30am
