Join Destination Canada as our next Corporate Communications Specialist where youll play a pivotal role in our external communications.
In addition to managing our corporate channels (social media website and e-communications) you will also play a crucial support role in industry communications and building and maintaining relationships with key sector stakeholders. The successful applicant will be able to understand multiple stakeholder requirements and articulate plans that creatively support communication goals while anticipating future communication needs. Much of the work involves data-led communications media outreach and presentations. While this role does not have direct reports it will work closely with the Communications Coordinator on a day-to-day basis providing guidance and direction to support the development and publication of corporate communications content. This role contributes to communication plans for our events representing Destination Canada at events where media are invited and liaising with partners on joint partner initiatives and their respective communications.
This role requires strong communication skills and adaptability with proficiency required in both digital and traditional media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a track record of coordinating various communications assets as part of big projects managing content for various channels successful media and industry outreach campaigns the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong public speaking and writing skills are essential along with creativity and strategic thinking in developing compelling narratives.
Salary range: $72177 - $90221
Within the range the base pay offered is determined by multiple factors including job-related skills and relevant education/experience. Please note starting salaries for new hires typically fall between the minimum and mid-point of the range to support internal equity and allow room for progression as employees grow and excel in their roles.
