Job Summary

Summary
Effectively manages the learning environment by preparing lesson plans in Spanish and/or English instructing students in Spanish and/or English and evaluating and monitoring student performance to promote academic achievement. Demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of diversity works collaboratively with colleagues to plan instruction and shows a strong commitment to continuous professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans in Spanish and/or English.

  • Provide engaging and effective instruction in both languages.

  • Assess evaluate and monitor student performance and progress.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement curriculum.

  • Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment.

  • Commit to ongoing professional learning and development.

Minimum Requirements

  • Arizona Elementary or Secondary Certificate with Spanish Bilingual Endorsement
    (Spanish approved area also required if teaching Spanish)
    OR Arizona Early Childhood Certificate with Spanish Bilingual Endorsement
    (Spanish approved area also required if teaching Spanish)

  • Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Preferred Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students

Additional Requirements After Hire

  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization

  • Valid Drivers License (Arizona Drivers License required within 30 days of hire)

  • Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) showing no more than the allowable points as outlined in governing board policy
