About the Role:

As a Systems Engineer you will be part of a cross-functional team developing and deploying a state-of-the-art ground operational system. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate mission requirements into robust system designs support software and system integration and ensure solutions meet mission needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate customer and mission requirements into architecture design and interfaces.
  • Decompose end-to-end system requirements and coordinate with development and test teams.
  • Support system/software design for cloud-based and ground-to-space communication systems.
  • Apply systems engineering best practices throughout the system development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to modeling simulation and analysis to support mission operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering Science Engineering or Mathematics (Masters degree 6 years experience acceptable).
  • 8 years of relevant systems engineering experience. Agile experience preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience in ground system design satellite communications or mission tracking.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Java Python MATLAB.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like CAMEO or MagicDraw a plus.
  • U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain Secret clearance within a reasonable time.
