About the role

SLC has an exciting permanent opportunity for someone to join our Test Centre of Excellence as a Senior Test Engineer. As a Senior Test Engineer you will support test delivery of our projects and changes. You will also have excellent senior test skills to drive test quality across delivery utilising defined standards and best practice. You will have a deep understanding of software testing its main principles and processes: different testing levels types test estimation and reporting. The role demands a proactive confident team player who can work in a dynamic agile environment with good communication skills to interact with business and technical colleagues. You will also actively contribute to continuous improvement act as a mentor and coach other test team members and promote QA across the organisation. What you bring

• Extensive experience across the full software testing lifecycle in Agile environments with a strong grasp of testing principles levels (unit to UAT) and the ability to shape effective testing strategies.
• Proactive in driving continuous improvement regularly proposing enhancements to practices and processes that boost team efficiency and software delivery quality.
• Excellent technical acumen including understanding of system architecture components (application servers databases web services cloud) and working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture and messaging protocols with hands-on experience using tools such as Swagger and Postman.
• Awareness of automation cross-browser and accessibility testing with the ability to adapt quickly learn new skills on the job and work independently while managing workload effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills essential for engaging with both technical and business stakeholders in a dynamic Agile setting.
• Relevant qualifications or equivalent practical experience with proficiency in industry-standard tools including Confluence JIRA Zephyr and ALM.
