The Role

Our Rail & Metro team is looking for a talentedSenior Civil Designerto design coordinate and take the lead on project delivery for various Rail Transport Infrastructure projects both locally and nationally.

With a minimum of 7 years experience in a hands-on capacity you will play a key role in:

• Concept design and delivery of rail projects using 12D and AutoCAD
• Ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC
• Build and maintain effective relationships internally and externally and contribute to effective client relationship management
• Proactively collaborating with team members contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables
• Mentoring and assisting with the professional development of junior engineers and designers

About You

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Advanced Diploma
• 7 years industry experience working with an engineering design consultancy
• Proficient in Civil 12D and AutoCAD
• Transport infrastructure project experience (desirable)
• Excellent civil design knowledge with previous experience working on drainage earthworks and track design
• Knowledge of relevant Australian design standards and local regulations
• Relevant working rights
