RN- Supervisor ED (Permanent Role) Location: Rowlett TX 75088
Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Supervisor to lead and support our Emergency Department (ED) nursing team. This permanent full-time role is ideal for a confident and compassionate RN with strong leadership capabilities and a solid background in emergency nursing. The RN Supervisor will serve as a clinical and administrative resource ensuring high-quality patient care efficient department operations and staff mentorship.
Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and coordinate all clinical activities during assigned shifts in the Emergency Department.
- Serve as a resource for nursing staff in clinical decision-making and patient care planning.
- Assist with staffing scheduling and performance evaluations.
- Promote patient safety efficient workflows and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Support staff development and ongoing education through coaching and mentoring.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide direct patient care as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Qualifications: Education:
- Associates Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience in an Emergency Department setting
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Charge RN or supervisory role
Certifications/Licensure:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already certified
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
