Job Title: Accessibility Tester (WCAG 2.1/2.2 JavaScript Forms Compliance ADA/508)
Location: Atlanta GA (Hybrid - Local to Metro Atlanta)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Key Responsibilities - Review and test web forms across multiple browsers and devices to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1/WCAG 2.2 (Levels A and AA).
- Use assistive technologies (e.g. screen readers such as NVDA JAWS VoiceOver and Adobe Acrobat) to test form accessibility.
- Identify and report issues related to keyboard navigation focus order label associations Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) usage color contrast and error handling in forms.
- Document and report accessibility defects referencing specific WCAG success criteria their severity and recommended remediation steps.
- Provide clear and actionable recommendations to developers and designers for fixing accessibility issues.
- Validate fixes by retesting to verify issues are resolved without impacting business logic.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accessibility laws regulations and evolving best practices (e.g. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Section 508 EN 301 549).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility into the design and development lifecycle.
- Evaluate code and verify compliance focusing on JavaScript HTML CSS and ARIA attributes.
Mandatory Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of experience testing and/or providing accessibility guidance on forms and documents for ADA Section 508 and WCAG compliance.
- Strong familiarity with WCAG 2.1/WCAG 2.2 success criteria especially for form elements (e.g. 1.3.1 3.3.1 3.3.4 4.1.2).
- Proficiency with accessibility testing tools such as Axe WAVE Lighthouse ANDI and Color Contrast Analyzer.
- Hands-on experience using screen readers and performing keyboard-only navigation tests.
- Strong communication skills and ability to clearly document technical findings.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to evaluate and understand code with at least 2 years of experience in JavaScript plus basic knowledge of HTML CSS and ARIA attributes.
Preferred Qualifications - Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP).
- Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) certification from IAAP.
- Knowledge of accessibility legal requirements (Americans with Disabilities Act Section 508 EN 301 549).
- Experience working within government compliance environments.
