Role Description
Our CurbIQ Team is looking for their next Intern. This position will begin in May 2026 and will be a 12-16 month placement. The way we get around on a daily basis is rapidly changing. With the growth of e-commerce transportation network companies and new mobility solutions there has never been greater demand for dedicated space in our cities. At Arcadis were not sitting back and reacting to these changes but leading the way and developing new tools and systems that will define the cities of tomorrow.
This posting is for a position with CurbIQ a product that helps cities digitize understand and manage the curbside and all the mobility options surrounding it.
The work youll be doing is highly analytical and youll be helping to solve problems that will change how cities work. You will help to develop and utilize new technologies and diversify your skill set by having the opportunity to work and learn about transportation engineering GIS data analysis automation artificial intelligence the full product development life cycle and much more.

- Actively support deployments of products for new clients by performing data generation configuration and troubleshooting;
- Conduct data analysis interpretation and manipulation;
- Research and develop new technologies and facilitate their development and integration into the overall product workflow;
- Design and create mockups write specifications oversee development and test various new features for innovative products
- Develop automations and process improvements to streamline workflows and increase overall efficiency;
- Apply problem solving skills to proactively address and respond to user feedback provide suggestions for future product features;
- Lead multiple tasks facilitate team meetings and perform general team coordination duties;
- Present analysis and processes to internal team meeting and clients when asked
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams across multiple Arcadis offices.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Currently enrolled in an Engineering or related program
- Programming/scripting experience is an asset and familiarity with Python preferred;
- Machine learning experience is not required but is an asset;
We are looking for candidates with excellent written and verbal communication skills strong organizational and time management abilities and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both independently and in groups and have experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. Familiarity with GIS tools (such as QGIS GeoPandas and ArcGIS Online) data analysis and manipulation and AWS (including EC2 S3 SageMaker Lambda and API Gateway) or API development is considered an asset but not required. Past transportation-related experience is also beneficial.
