Legal Services covers all areas of work that the Council undertakes from employment to property from social care to contracts. As a legal clerk you will work within the practice management team. You will provide excellent legal administrative support to Fee Earners and practice management officers in Legal Services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Using the case management system to produce correspondence forms court documents maps and plans and other documentation as required by the team
  • Producing accurate comprehensive and up-to-date legal documentation and court bundles under direction to tight deadlines
  • Opening new legal case files using the case management system including setting up initial documentation and completing acknowledgments. To close files on the case management system prepare paper files for off-site storage and update team spread sheets with case outcomes
  • Operating legal procedures including authentication and sealing of documents producing case management reports and assisting with routine processes such as processing invoices
