Open and close the fitness center as scheduled; prepare the space for member use.
Perform clerical duties including scheduling appointments maintaining attendance logs and providing general administrative assistance.
Monitor use of fitness equipment ensuring safety cleanliness and organization; report maintenance issues promptly.
Welcome students and employees into the Wellness and Fitness Center providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive environment.
Answer questions and demonstrate safe use of fitness equipment.
Assist students with developing and practicing safe effective exercise routines and provide encouragement to help them meet their wellness goals.
Promote overall wellness by encouraging healthy lifestyle choices stress management and balance.
Collaborate with student employees/volunteers and provide informal guidance to support their success in the role.
Assist with planning and delivery of student-focused wellness events and incentive programs (including occasional Saturday mornings).
Organize and lead group exercise classes as assigned.
Contribute ideas for monthly bulletin board themes wellness activities and creative ways to engage students in fitness and wellness.
Help design flyers digital content and bulletin board displays to promote fitness and wellness initiatives.
Actively promote the mission of the Wellness and Fitness Center through positive engagement with the student body and employees.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Wellness Manager to support departmental goals.
Work Hours:
Daytime hours MondayThursday with occasional Saturday mornings for events.
$15.00 per hour 20 hours per week expected.

Adult CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of employment).
Personal trainer certification preferred; group exercise instructor certification a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook); Canva or similar design software preferred.
Knowledge of general office equipment.
Self-motivated dependable and able to work with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; must be kind caring and sensitive to students diverse needs.
Knowledge of fitness and wellness principles required.
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
