MAIN FUNCTION: Supports - Planetree Services Programs and Services by recruiting onboarding and scheduling of volunteers keeping accurate records of volunteer hours volunteer activities and volunteer meetings. Oversee daily operations of the Hospital Elder Life Program. Screen and enrolls patients into the program. Orient patients and families to the program and assign appropriate intervention protocols. Develop and oversee implementation of appropriate volunteer assignments for patients. Assume direct responsibility for the Daily Visitor Program Therapeutic Activities Program Early Mobilization Program and Feeding Assistance Program. Assist with recruitment screening and placement of program
volunteers. Responsible for training and retention of program volunteers.

EDUCATION:Associates Degree Required.

EXPERIENCE:Entry level position. On the job training provided. Previous experience working in a healthcare environment with volunteers and elderly individuals hospital preferred. Program development and training skills necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Work independently initiating prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.

SKILLS: Attention to detail and ability to keep careful documentation. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Proficient with Microsoft Office and database organizational skills ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team detail orientedand enjoy working with older adults and high school students.
