Are you a detail-oriented leader with a passion for protecting brand integrity and member trust As the Director Regulatory & Compliance Governance youll lead the development and oversight of marketing compliance frameworks that ensure Humanas communications are accurate timely and aligned with regulatory standards. Youll partner across teams to embed compliance into every step of the marketing lifecyclehelping us deliver clear compliant and compassionate messaging to our members.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex regulated environments and is committed to enabling marketing excellence through governance and accountability.

As a key leader in Humanas Marketing Technology and Operations organization you will oversee regulatory and compliance governance across all marketing channels and processes.

Regulatory Oversight & Governance

  • Lead the Enterprise Marketing Governance team including reusable language management and line-of-business (LOB) governance across Insurance CenterWell and Medicaid

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Marketing and Legal CMS Regulatory Affairs IOP and Carrier partnersensuring alignment and timely resolution of compliance issues

  • Monitor regulatory changes (e.g. CMS HIPAA TCPA state-level Medicaid rules) and translate them into actionable guidance for marketing teams

  • Maintain accurate and current process documentation for regulated activities and ensure audit readiness

  • Partner with QA and execution teams to ensure regulatory standards are met across all marketing channels

  • Track and manage Issues & Opportunities (IOPs) ensuring resolution paths and visibility

Review & Approval Operations

  • Oversee the end-to-end review and approval process for marketing materials campaigns and member communications

  • Manage and evolve the Enterprise Marketing Governance Database and reusable language libraries

  • Establish training programs and documentation to promote compliance awareness and accountability across the marketing organization

  • Develop and report on compliance metrics identifying trends risks and opportunities for process improvement

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing Legal Compliance IT and LOB teams to ensure cohesive delivery and governance

  • Support vendor evaluations and contract management in collaboration with Procurement and Legal

  • Influence enterprise standards and contribute to governance forums related to marketing compliance and risk.

Your leadership will ensure Humanas marketing practices uphold the highest standards of integrityprotecting members the brand and the business.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing Business Legal Studies Risk Management or related field or relevant work experience

  • 8 years of experience in marketing compliance regulatory affairs or governance in a highly regulated industry

  • Deep understanding of healthcare regulations including CMS HIPAA TCPA and Medicaid marketing guidelines

  • Proven success in developing and managing compliance frameworks and cross-functional partnerships

  • Strong communication analytical and leadership skills

  • Experience managing review and approval workflows and audit documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree or certification in Compliance Risk Management or Healthcare Law

  • Experience with compliance workflow tools and documentation systems

  • Familiarity with marketing operations campaign lifecycle and content review processes

  • Background in training development change management or audit preparation

  • Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare insurance or financial services

  • Background in training development or change management

  • Experience in audit preparation and regulatory reporting

Additional Information

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees ability to work effectively the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California Illinois Montana or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills knowledge experience education certifications etc.


$150000 - $206300 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
