About the Opportunity
A well-established legal practice in Croydon is seeking an experienced Immigration & Family Solicitor to join their busy team. This full-time office-based role requires dual expertise in both immigration and family law matters and offers a competitive salary in a dynamic legal environment.
Detailed Role Description
Manage a diverse mixed caseload encompassing both immigration and family law matters with equal proficiency
Handle complex immigration applications appeals and judicial reviews with attention to detail and procedural accuracy
Manage family law cases including divorce proceedings child custody arrangements and financial settlements
Provide expert legal advice to clients on immigration law family disputes and related regulatory compliance
Represent clients effectively at hearings court proceedings and tribunal appearances across both practice areas
Draft comprehensive legal documents applications and correspondence for courts Home Office and relevant authorities
Liaise professionally with external bodies including family courts immigration tribunals and government departments
Maintain detailed case files and ensure all documentation meets professional standards and regulatory requirements
Build and maintain strong client relationships whilst managing sensitive and emotionally challenging cases
Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to deliver exceptional legal services across both specialisms
What Were Looking For
Qualified Solicitor with demonstrable experience in both Immigration and Family Law
Strong advocacy skills with proven court and tribunal representation experience in both areas
Excellent case management abilities with the capacity to handle diverse and complex matters simultaneously
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
Outstanding client communication skills with empathy for sensitive family and immigration matters
Excellent legal drafting skills with experience in preparing applications and court documents
Commercial awareness and understanding of legal practice management
Professional resilience and ability to manage emotionally challenging cases
