Family Solicitor
Location: Leicester City Centre (Office-Based)
Job Type: Full-time Permanent
Salary: 35000 - 45000 ( Negotiable )
About the Role
Were working with a well-established and supportive law firm based in Leicester City Centre that is looking to expand its family law department. This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Solicitor or CILEX with 2 - 3 years PQE who is passionate about family law advocacy and delivering high-quality client care.
You will handle a mixed caseload of legal aid and privately funded matters across all areas of family law with opportunities for courtroom advocacy and career development.
Key Responsibilities

Manage your own caseload of family matters including:

Divorce & separation
-
Financial remedy proceedings
-
Injunctions
-
Children matters (public & private)
-

Conduct advocacy at hearings and appointments.

Provide clear compassionate legal advice to clients.

Draft applications statements court documentation and correspondence.

Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.

Opportunity to train as an accredited family mediator as part of the firms expanding mediation services.
Requirements

Family Solicitor or CILEX with 2 - 3 years PQE.

Strong advocacy skills and confidence attending hearings.

Experience with both legal aid and private family law matters.

Ability to manage a mixed caseload independently.

Excellent communication organisation and client care skills.

A proactive and empathetic approach to client work.
