The Finance Data Governance Operations Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the enterprise-wide finance data governance strategy by ensuring the integrity quality and accessibility of data across systems. This role is responsible for operationalizing data governance policies supporting data stewardship activities and enabling compliance with data standards and regulations.

In this role the individual will be part of the Finance Data Governance & Operations team responsible for working closely with various partners including business Finance and IT to help implement projects policies and processes that will establish a more robust Finance Data Governance strategy to ensure the integrity of the financial data.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support:

  • Maintain and enhance data governance tools and platforms (e.g. Finance MDG Alation etc.).

  • Monitor data quality metrics around master data and support remediation efforts.

  • Assist in the implementation of data governance frameworks and workflows.

Policy & Compliance:

  • Support enforcement of data governance policies standards and procedures.

  • Assist in audits and compliance reporting related to data usage data definitions and quality.

  • Collaborate with data stewards and technical teams to ensure metadata accuracy.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with data owners stewards and business units to promote data governance best practices.

  • Provide training and documentation to support adoption of governance tools and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems Data Management Finance or related field

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data governance data management or related experience in finance or accounting.

  • Strong understanding of data management principles metadata management and data lineage.

  • Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g. SAP MDG Alation Collibra etc).

  • Proficiency in SQL Excel and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau).

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with SAP Central Finance S/4 HANA or other data warehouse technologies and Anaplan or other planning/budgeting systems

  • Innovative and continuous improvement mentality with the ability to work in ambiguous situations.

  • Ability to develop strong relationships with key business partners at all levels of the organization

  • Work location is in New Brunswick NJ

  • Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required as business demands. No relocations will be considered

Additional Description for Pay Transparency The Company maintains highly competitive performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporations performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Companys discretion on an individual basis.
