Position Purpose:

The Manager Human Resources supports the full scope of HR functions including recruitment onboarding employee relations payroll and benefits compliance and culture initiatives. Serving as a key point of contact for employees and managers this role ensures smooth HR operations promotes engagement and upholds Prime Quadrants PATH valuesPurposeful Authentic Tenacious and Humble.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Support hiring managers with job postings initial screenings and candidate communications
  • Coordinate reference checks and background verification
  • Prepare and manage employment agreements and onboarding documentation
  • Oversee established onboarding process
  • Coordinate the intern program & funding
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and HR-related concerns
  • Coordinate regular HR check-ins and feedback sessions
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with internal policies and employment law
  • Ensure adherence to company policies including outside activities and conflict of interest disclosures
  • Support health and safety compliance and reporting structures
  • Assist and eventually manage benefits enrollment and updates including liaising with benefit provider(s) in Canada and the US
  • Assist with payroll and compensation tracking including managing payroll administrators in Canada and the US
  • Contribute to Culture & Engagement activities led by the Social Committee
  • Support internal communications and deliver training resources around HR programs and updates
  • Promote Prime Quadrants PATH valuesPurposeful Authentic Tenacious and Humble
  • Participate in HR budget reviews and planning meetings
  • Participate in setting annual objectives goals and projects for the HR function
  • Collaborate with external HR advisors and consultants as needed
  • Coordinate coaching & leadership training schedule

Knowledge Skills & Technical Ability:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Business Administration Organizational Behaviour or a related field; CHRP designation (or working towards) is an asset
  • 24 years of HR experience preferably in a generalist or coordinator capacity
  • Knowledge of employment standards HR best practices and health & safety compliance
  • Experience with recruitment onboarding employee relations payroll support and benefits administration
  • Program owner mindset with strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Reputation as a good listener; able to build trust serve as a reliable point of contact for employees and managers and action feedback thoughtfully
  • High level of professionalism discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems is an asset
  • Preferred qualification: comfortable using data to measure progress and success of HR programs

  • Occasional travel as required
