Job Summary

This position leads a Life New Business team that serves as the point of contact for our agents agencies IMOs. This position functions as a reactive and proactive liaison between agent inquiries relating to Life Product Illustrations New Business and Underwriting questions. This individual will research document and resolve agent inquires with emphasis on the Life New Business function. This individual will also analyze report and identify methods to improve overall service levels and performance. This position will support the F&G Life Distribution channels and will have contact with various levels of management our TPAs and our agent field force. This individual will also act as a key point of contact to both our field force and clients for problem resolution.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between independent producers their uplines third party administrators Underwriting Commissions Contracting & Licensing Legal and other departments as needed.
  • Manage and distribute incoming Life new business for the Life New Business Team.
  • Ensure Life New Business Team achieves required phone and transaction performance.
  • Assist and/or lead in the direction of FGL Life New Business Operations through the active participation in various department and company initiatives committees and special projects. These would include process improvement efforts agent communication and product development.
  • Review analyze monitor and maintain reports of associate activities. Analysis of these reports will be provided to the Director Life New Business.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Business Continuity Planning for the Life New Business Team.
  • Resolves problems & guides producers for all Life New Business and Presale software usage and web initiatives.
  • Ensure the proper processes/metrics and controls are in place to measure accuracy timeliness and quality of work.
  • Resolves moderate to complex sales/operational needs/inquiries as it pertains to product clarification pending new business supply needs and illustrations.
  • Research and track documents and resolve complex service issues with emphasis on a designated function.
  • Handle escalated phone calls involving service issues or training needs.
  • Lead and manage Life New Business team that proactively responds to all Life New Business and presale inquiries from our distribution partners.
  • Schedule and monitor the successful training of team members.
  • Create and manage team members performance standards & reviews.
  • Conduct monthly face-to-face status updates with each member of the team seeking process improvement suggestions discussing employee development plans addressing concerns and gaging overall employee job satisfaction.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • AA or BA degree preferred.
  • Relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • 7 years of experience working in a life case management team with emphasis on processing or call center management and/or other previous industry experience.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated strong customer relationship management with previous experience directly working with agents/IMOs and servicing skills as well as internal corporate relationship management capabilities.
  • Successful completion of Life insurance related education such as LOMA or CLU coursework strongly preferred.

  • Defines priorities sets project plan and scope drives execution of key project tasks and delegates appropriately to team members.
  • Identifies key issues and define parameters for potential vendor solutions.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop solutions in real time with practical measurable business benefits; supports long term business unit or department planning.
  • Maintains industry regulatory knowledge.
