Job Duties
As a Packet Core Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) this role encompasses Incident Management Configuration Management and Performance Management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results are essential.
Key duties include:
Node Operations & Support:Responsible for the day-to-day operation and support of MME SGW PGW SMF AMF and UPF nodes.
Protocol Expertise:Possess a solid understanding of Diameter GTP & S1Ap Protocol.
Troubleshooting & Resolution:Troubleshoot incidents to identify root causes and ensure swift and effective resolution.
Cloud-Native & Automation:Leverage Kubernetes for networking and container orchestration ensuring smooth integration and automation with network infrastructure. Demonstrate an understanding of cloud basics including cloud networking and the ability to automate network-related tasks in a cloud environment.
Performance Optimization:Perform regular technical analysis to ensure the optimization readiness and quality of nodes. Identify performance bottlenecks capacity issues and potential service impacts then implement optimization strategies to enhance network efficiency call success rates and user experience.
Collaboration:Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve escalated technical issues and implement corrective actions.
Reporting & Communication:Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting documentation and communication to stakeholders. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Service Lifecycle Support:Provide operational support for new service launches network expansions and technology trials. Plan schedule and execute complex network changes upgrades and configurations on Packet Core elements with minimal service disruption.
Cross-functional Collaboration:Collaborate with planning engineering and project teams on network design deployment and integration activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:Bachelors degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
Experience:9 years of hands-on experience in Core components.
Technical Knowledge:Solid knowledge of Telecom Virtualized Core network (VNF & CNF) Networking principles protocols and technologies.
Tooling & Analysis:Experience with deployment monitoring tools advanced troubleshooting techniques and performance analysis. Automation mindset is essential.
Problem-Solving:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Work Ethic:Self-motivated proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Adaptability:Ability to adapt to a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Customer Focus:Strong commitment to delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Language Skills:Fluent in English; Japanese is desirable (not mandatory).
