About
We are launching a new and exciting brand under NEXT Wholly Owned Brands to be based in the London head office. With a premium and contemporary handwriting we are looking to speak to exceptional design talent who have womenswear experience across multi product categories.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Designer to join our new contemporary will drive the design and development of the department building a balanced comprehensive offer with a high taste level and appreciation for a premium aesthetic. Offer newness combined with commerciality and a strong affinity fashion influenced by the latest catwalk and trend predictions.

You will..
- Be responsible for the design development and delivery of relevant and trend led product for a certain product area
- Present new product ranges to management and buying teams
- Create mood and trend boards seasonally plus colour palettes and print research
- Plan the development trip calendar to achieve option plan
- Take inspirational trips to research product - NYC Paris London
- Travel to India and China to develop product and range build
- Produce concepts trends and storyboards
- Understand pricing-margins- design to price point
- Liaise with production on all order approvals and costing issues
- Continually aim to develop yourself asking your Line Manager for support and guidance
- Complete any other duties as reasonably requested by the company to ensure the continuous development of the business
Your Talent
- Multiproduct Designer particularly strong in softs
- Previous design experience from premium fashion retailer
- Eye for colour trends and fashion
- Excellent free-hand fashion illustration skills with the ability to use Adobe Photoshop
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent technical garment drawing skills
- Demonstrates an awareness of the retail industry
- Demonstrates accountability to deliver within role and drive the right results
- Helpful and approachable always willing to extend help
- Demonstrates an awareness of trends and impact of potential threats and opportunities
- Proactive vibrant and spirited and rises to challenges
- Ability to manage own time and work to deadlines
- Thinks above and beyond role
- Strong communication skills (communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing)
- Ability to be privy to highly confidential information and ensure it remains so
- Strong interpersonal skills
