Job Description

Job Opportunity: Cincinnati Ohio

Our client is looking for an Operations Manager to join their team. Our client is a regional leader in supply chain solutions for steel products and services that has been around for over 85 years.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for carrying ultimate responsibility for branch / center operations and front office administration.


Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in management or marketing.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in distribution or manufacturing leadership.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Steel Service Center Industry preferred. Experience should include management and operations.
Strong organizational and communication (verbal & written) skills
- Commitment to Customer Service and improving the quality of the sale to the customer.
- Experience in developing budgets and business plans.
- Excellent leadership management math and analytical skills.
- Excellent Computer Skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands of position which are required 95% of the work day (i.e. lifting up to 50 lbs independently pushing pulling standing climbing).

Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provides a safe and healthy working environment as well as the tools and equipment necessary to service our customers.
- Ensures customer service and satisfaction.
- Manages warehouse operation to maximize operational efficiency safety and employee performance.
- Manages office staff to ensure efficiency and that the Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teammates are being met.
- Educates trains and develops employees.
- Manages and improves daily business processes (operations & administrative) through analysis and collaboration.
- Represents the Company to the market area.
- Partners with support functions (IT HR Purchasing Sales Credit and Accounting) to achieve objectives and continuous improvement.
- Performs other duties as related or assigned.
- Performs other duties as related or assigned to benefit the Company (To include driving and travel).
- Good attendance is an essential function of this job.
