Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physicians Assistant) . In this role you will play a crucial part in providing urgent care services to patients ensuring they receive high-quality medical attention promptly. You will be involved in a variety of urgent care projects contributing to the well-being of individuals in need of immediate medical assistance. This position is vital to our organizations commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial patient assessments and examinations.
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses injuries and infections.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans as necessary.
- Perform procedures such as wound care suturing and splinting.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards in healthcare.
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physicians Assistant (PA) license.
- Previous experience in urgent care or emergency medicine.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed.
Shifts: Monday-Friday (8a-8p) Saturday (8a-7p) or Sunday (8a-5p)
EMR: Practice Velocity
Must be board-certified
