Job Summary

Are you ready to lead the charge for rare disease patients in the Nordic countries

As the Country Director for Nordics youll spearhead and be fully accountable for our Alexion Rare Disease business actively improving patient equity of access and journeys driving product launches and navigating complex market landscapes across Finland Norway Sweden Iceland and Denmark. Your leadership will shape the local teams encompassing commercial medical market access patient advocacy and in cross-functional collaboration with synergistic CENE resources in business analytics finance legal and HR to foster long-term growth. Bring your vision leadership and entrepreneurial spirit to tackle the exciting opportunities and challenges ahead for Alexion rare disease. The job location is Stockholm.

Reporting directly to the VP Area Head Central & Northern Europe Area (CENE) this role is pivotal in driving our mission forward.

What youll do:

The role shapes and communicates the longterm strategy for Alexions rare disease portfolio across the Nordics aligning with CENE priorities while anticipating market shifts and uncovering new growth opportunities to deliver on our ambitions. It leads local business operations end to endtranslating global strategy into impactful locally relevant executionand serves as a visible ambassador for Alexion fostering meaningful external partnerships and strengthening our reputation. Internally it leads directly local Commercial Medical Access and Patient Advocacy functions working with locally dedicated Regulatory and Corporate Affairs and benefiting of synergistic CENE resources in other functions. You build trusted relationships across global regional and CENE teams championing truly crossfunctional collaboration attracting and retaining talent nurturing potential and driving shared accountability for results. Above all the role embeds a culture of ethics integrity inclusion and compliance in everything we do ensuring our work advances patient impact and sustainable business performance.

Essentials for the role:

  • Masters degree in science or business (or equivalent experience)
  • Consistent track record in market access and business unit leadership with robust people management experience
  • Confirmed advanced strategic skills to drive national and local access through environmental and market shaping initiatives particularly within a cost-effectiveness and tender-based system
  • Deep understanding of the Nordic healthcare environment and strong stakeholder engagement experience
  • Strong familiarity with Medical Affairs and Patient Advocacy Group collaboration
  • Exceptional strategic and crossfunctional leadership aligning disease strategies across Medical Access Government Affairs PAG and enabling teams
  • Proven track record in building teams setting a clear vision and developing individuals
  • Strength in complex problemsolving sound decisionmaking and outcome orientation
  • Influencing skills across senior leaders and matrix teams
  • Fluency in English

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Additional Nordic language skills is a plus
  • Rare disease experience preferably in hematology nephrology and/or neurology
