About the role He Aha Te Tranga
At nib were on a mission to support better health and wellbeing for our members and communities. Were looking for an experienced Analytics and Reporting Analyst to join our Actuarial team on a six-month fixed term assignment.
In this role youll turn complex data into clear insights that help shape business decisions drive growth and improve member outcomes. Youll be working with a variety of data sets BI tools and reporting systems providing accurate analysis to stakeholders across nib New Zealand.
What youll do:
Analyse customer and industry data to deliver actionable insights and identify key trends
Design build and distribute reports across sales retention and benchmarking
Partner with the advisor and group distribution teams providing data-driven reporting and financial analysis
Develop and manage structured data sets across SQL Snowflake Tableau and other BI tools
Support strategic growth projects through data preparation and reporting
Engage stakeholders with clear well-communicated insights to guide decision-making

Degree in Mathematics Statistics Computer Science or a related discipline
5 years experience in reporting and BI ideally within insurance or financial services
Strong skills in SQL Excel and visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Ability to simplify complex problems and communicate insights to diverse stakeholders
A collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
