1. Valid Louisiana leaching Certificate
Must hold a Type B or Level 2 (or higher) Louisiana Teaching Certificate.
This includes at least three years of successful teaching experience in a K-12 setting.
Prior leadership experience often preferred.
Uses leadership supervisory and administrative skills to maintain an effective learning climate and to promote the educational development of each student.
Plans and implements a program which creates an environment where teachers have the ability to design and implement a course(s) of study that enables students to learn and develop optimally.
Job Duties:
Lead and manage daily school operations instructional programs and staff performance
Oversee curriculum implementation aligned with state standards and individualized learning plans
Promote a safe inclusive and respectful school climate using effective behavior management strategies
Coordinate professional development and performance evaluations for educators and support staff
Ensure compliance with state education regulations testing protocols and agency policies
Collaborate with facility leadership external stakeholders and families to support student success
Analyze educational data to inform school improvement planning and student interventions

Work Location: This vacancy is located at Jetson Center for Youth in Baker Louisiana.
Terms of Employment:12 Month Employee (as set by the Office of Juvenile Justice)
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
No Civil Service test scoreis required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
