Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies Inc. is actively seeking an Associate Manager of Operations Management. This person will be responsible for managing two or more of the following activities related to operations manufacturing production planning material planning manufacturing engineering test quality or shipping/receiving/stores.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise a direct labor work force of technicians and operators in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Maintain consistent shop floor presence maintain an orderly disciplined fair and positive work environment for all employees.
- Lead team towards common goals ensure customer satisfaction and meet performance expectations for the department.
- Effectively communicate with direct reports policies performance expectations strategic improvements etc.
- Effectively engage support functions day to day issues and strategic improvements.
- Effectively develop work force recognizing high performers and coaching low performers.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree with 6 years prior experience Graduate Degree with 4 years prior lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience implementing continuous improvement to procedures and processes.
- Experience with planning and establishing operational objectives for a team with some impact on department results.
- Experience with basic supervisory and lean approaches.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools and Outlook.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in New York State is $75000 - $139000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
