We are looking for a technical support engineer for the Technical Support AMBR in Sartorius this role you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to customers and field service engineering teams for AMBR products by coordinating with relevant internal stakeholders. You will provide technical (hardware/software/process/application) expertise to customer and field service engineering team. This role is focusing on assisting field service engineers remotely/onsite but requires hands on engineering skills to effectively support and troubleshoot machinery. The goal is to ensure all field technical queries and problems are satisfactorily addressed in alignment with the existing customer service levels.
Main task and responsibility:
- On a daily basis you will be responsible for providing technical support (repair and maintenance support diagnose complex technical issues configure systems fault findings) for internal and external customers. Which mainly includes the field service engineer teams.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders on requests that cannot be solved within the realm of technical support to ensure aligned communication and identification of business or development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate configuration control records for the field installed base on the company network Develop performance metrics and monitor the performance of allocated equipment in the field.
- Build and maintain a product-based knowledge database of essential information for allocated products and actively advertise and share this knowledge with appropriate personnel both internally and externally.
- Organize field retrofit and upgrade programs as required to maintain / improve safety or functional specification develop new services and upgrades around allocated products.
- Lead relationships with internal groups providing feedback to product team and communicating matters relating to the field service team.
Qualification and skills
- Technical degree in Electrotechnics Electronics Bioengineering or a related field. Service/Maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing/production environment working with machinery/systems in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry would be ideal though candidates from other industries i.e.: aerospace food medical defense will also be considered.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a similar role and industry.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical findings.
- Experience in delivering service/user training to groups or various sizes in person would be beneficial.
- Being proactive and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience with MS Office
- Good command of Japanese and English. Proficiency in Korean and Chinese will be a plus.
