A leading company in the advanced manufacturing and technology sector is seeking an Inventory and Logistics Specialist. This role supports day-to-day inventory operations and shipping/receiving activities on-site. The specialist will help maintain material accuracy streamline storage and coordinate the movement of parts and assemblies across facilities to ensure smooth production and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inventory tasks: receiving storing issuing kitting and cycle counting
- Maintain traceability and accountability of materials in ERP systems
- Support inbound shipments from suppliers and outbound logistics to customers test sites and operations
- Follow established workflows for warehousing handling and shipping/receiving
- Collaborate with supply chain production and quality teams to ensure timely material availability
- Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reliability in logistics processes
Job Requirements
- Experience in inventory control warehousing or logistics operations
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and standard inventory practices
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced hands-on environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in aerospace defense automotive or advanced manufacturing industries
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations including hazardous materials
