About the Role
The Engineering Culture team within Platform Engineering is seeking a senior software engineer to support 3000 internal developers in delivering software with speed and quality. The team fosters an innovative inclusive culture focused on diversity and continuous learning.
As a senior engineer you will:
- Lead the development and advocacy of the internal developer portal Backstage.
- Drive Backstages technical direction for secure scalable and maintainable operations.
- Define and implement the product roadmap to address engineers critical needs and pain points.
- Champion user-centric development practices.
- Mentor team members and contributors elevating technical and architectural skills.
- Provide senior engineering perspectives in organizational discussions and projects.
What Were Looking For
- Extensive hands-on experience with Backstage development in large international organizations.
- Proven ability to set and execute strategic roadmaps from both technical and product perspectives.
- Strong leadership skills empowering peers and fostering a culture of innovation.
- Strategic thinking about technology and its impact on organizational efficiency.
- Excellent collaboration skills with teams and stakeholders at all levels.
