As the Director of Facilities Operations you will oversee all aspects of hospital facilities managementensuring a safe efficient and compliant environment that supports exceptional patient care. You will manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs regulatory compliance capital projects and a multidisciplinary facilities team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of hospital facilities operations including building maintenance utilities and infrastructure.
- Direct preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and reliability of hospital systems.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission OSHA NFPA and other federal state and local regulations.
- Oversee capital improvement projects renovations and construction in collaboration with hospital leadership and external contractors.
- Recruit train and manage a skilled facilities team ensuring professional growth and high performance.
- Partner with hospital administration to support operational and patient care goals.
- Maintain emergency preparedness plans hospital safety programs and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Facilities Management or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of The Joint Commission OSHA NFPA and healthcare compliance standards.
- Proven success in managing capital projects construction and vendor relationships.
- Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Excellent leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
