Job Title: Senior Safety Manager Construction

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Safety Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of job site safety across multiple construction projects. This role plays a critical part in developing implementing and maintaining safety programs that meet or exceed regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.
The Senior Safety Manager will act as a strategic leader and technical expert mentoring field teams managing risk and working closely with superintendents project managers and subcontractors to ensure a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and manage company-wide safety policies and site-specific safety plans
- Conduct site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA state/local laws)
- Lead accident and incident investigations; document findings and implement corrective actions
- Serve as a resource to project teams on safety-related concerns and best practices
- Conduct or coordinate safety training sessions (OSHA 10/30 toolbox talks hazard communication etc.)
- Monitor and track safety performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Work with subcontractors to ensure safety alignment and compliance with company standards
- Oversee pre-task planning and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) processes
- Stay current with federal state and industry safety regulations and trends
- Report directly to company leadership with safety performance updates and recommendations
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Construction Management or related field preferred
- 7 years of progressive safety experience in commercial or industrial construction
- OSHA 30 certification required; CHST CSP or equivalent certification preferred
- Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations risk management and job site safety procedures
- Strong leadership communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to influence and coach teams at all levels
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed
