The University of Southern Maine is hiring for an Assistant Director of Marketing. The Assistant Director of Marketing supports the Universitys enrollment marketing and brand objectives by overseeing the execution of marketing projects campaigns and operations. Working under the direction strategies and high-level planning across audiences set by the AVP this role translates strategies into actionable plans managing timelines creative production and campaign and project delivery.
The Assistant Director of Marketing ensures that all projects from large-scale campaigns to individual print or digital requests are executed effectively on time and on brand. This role provides creative direction in collaboration with the AVP a content writer a multimedia staff member and the graphic designer and manages project follow-up with internal stakeholders. The Marketing Manager supervises staff members and coordinates with external vendors and agencies to ensure smooth execution of campaigns.
This position will also take on additional projects across the full Marketing & Strategic Communications Department when they require multiple staff members across the department working together on deliverables.
Pay and Benefits:This full-time position offers an annual salary up to $71000 along with acomprehensive benefits package including generous paid time off (13 holidays vacation and sick leave) health dental and vision insurance life and disability coverage tuition benefits for employees and eligible dependents and a 403(b) retirement plan with 10% employer contribution. Location:Primarily based on thePortland campus with occasional travel to the Gorham and Lewiston campuses. Flexible and potential remote work arrangements (up to one day per week post-probation) are negotiable.
