FOH Supervisor Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Build rapport between kitchen and front of house staff to minimize conflict.
- Ensure that FOH attendants are greeting guests and answering telephone calls promptly and cordially.
- Maintain a sound and stress-free environment for everyone to work as a team.
- Uphold employee recognition and incentive programs to maintain high morale.
- Monitor staffs appearance and take corrective action as necessary.
- Work with GM and HR to appropriately deal with any conflicts regarding staff.
General Operations
- Conduct daily pre-shift/post-shift to increase communication.
- Respond to any guest complaints and take necessary action.
- Monitor the appearance of the restaurant and take corrective action.
- Welcome and greet guests warmly making them feel comfortable and assured that you are there to personally take care of them.
- Effectively supervise the restaurant and bar operation and delegate tasks to ensure excellent service and restaurant goals are consistently achieved.
- Answer questions about our food beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Manage the restaurant to meet or exceed standards in food quality safety and cleanliness.
- Assist General Manager in monitoring labor costs to schedule employees accordingly and remain within budgets.
- Maintain relationships with vendors to place orders.
- Train monitor and maintain the POS (point of sale) System.
- Assist in any areas of the restaurant when staffing constraints require.

- At least 18 years of age.
- High school education or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to deal with guests in a professional manner while maintaining a composed demeanor in high stress situations.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds on a regular basis.
- Frequent long periods of standing and walking are expected during the workday.
- Ability to reach for objects and stoop or bend as needed to perform job duties.
- This position may involve visual and auditory tasks including the ability to see and hear adequately to perform job functions.
