Organizational Relationship
or Line of Authority:
- Directly responsible to the District Principal or his/her designee in all matters pertaining to the building.
- Jointly responsible to appropriate Principal/Supervisor in areas of instruction and curriculum.
Statement of Duties:
- Provides comprehensive school counseling services that include education prevention and intervention activities for all pupils in Grades 9-12.
- Develops and delivers classroom lessons on relevant topics that align to ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors for Student Success (for example conflict management career awareness friendship anti-bullying and emotional regulation).
- Provides support and referrals for students and families to school and community resources for additional assistance.
Qualifications:
- Licensed by the State Department of Education in Massachusetts preferred
