Job Description
Full Steam Staffing is hiring a Warehouse/Retail Associate in Fresno CA!
Schedule: 1st (AM shift)
Pay Rate: $19/HR
Benefits through Full Steam Staffing: Medical Dental AD&D
Key Responsibilities
Retail / Counter Sales
- Assist walk-in customers with product selection and purchases.
- Handle phone and email inquiries providing accurate quotes.
- Prepare will-call orders and assist with returns and exchanges.
- Accurately and promptly enter sales into the POS/ERP system.
- Provide product and pricing information.
- Support outside sales and account managers with order entry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with repeat customers.
- Proactively recommend solutions and products to meet customer needs.
Warehouse / Yard Operations
- Pull and stage materials for customer orders and deliveries.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers; secure loads safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard.
- Operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely (training provided if needed).
- Deliver products and materials to customer sites as required.
Inventory Control
- Receive inbound shipments and verify against purchase orders.
- Accurately process paperwork matching POs and packing slips.
- Tag shelve and barcode items in correct bin locations.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs.
- Conduct cycle counts and support overall inventory accuracy goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience:
- 13 years in retail sales customer service or warehouse operations (preferred).
- Experience in construction irrigation or industrial supply industries is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with POS and/or ERP systems (Sage Acumatica or similar preferred).
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office email inventory systems).
- Knowledge of barcoding inventory control methods and shipping/receiving processes.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and other equipment.
- Other:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and organization.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
