Safety Coordinator

Safety Coordinator Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates with project managers supervisors and employees to implement and maintain EHS programs policies and procedures.
• Conducts regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards assess risks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.
• Provides guidance and training to employees on EHS policies procedures and best practices.
• Assists in providing safety training to employees on proper work practices emergency procedures and use of safety equipment plus new hire orientation.
• Manage administrative functions for daily safety documentation and assist in generating reports for Management and Safety.
• Work closely with Facilities Manager and Safety to continue to develop and streamline all programs within the plant to ensure full compliance.
• Promotes an incident-free work environment by routinely training monitoring and assuring a safe and compliant workplace.
• Effective ability to interact with other staff or service areas of the company toward the goals of enhancing employee relations reduction of turnover serving or supporting committees.
• Implements and supports Continuous Improvement throughout the organization.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

• Able to maintain a professional appearance and conduct always exhibiting a respectful and courteous demeanor.

Safety Coordinator Job Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 or more years safety experience
• Knowledge of production tools and equipment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Strong communication and public speaking skills
• Comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
• Demonstrate ability to establish credibility and be decisive but still able to recognize and support the organizations mission
• Maintain confidentiality
  
  

Preferred

• Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and production workflow
• OSHA 10 Certification
• LEAN Certification or other types of production system training (Six Sigma JIT ISO)
