Job Summary
Asiacruit BPO Inc. is seeking a talented System Engineer (VDI Specialist) to join our team. As a VDI Specialist you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining VDI solutions using technologies such as Citrix VMware Horizon and Microsoft AVD. You will play a crucial role in managing and supporting virtual desktop environments to ensure optimal performance reliability and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain VDI solutions (e.g. Citrix VMware Horizon Microsoft AVD).
- Manage and support virtual desktop environments ensuring performance reliability and security.
- Perform capacity planning performance tuning and optimization of the VDI infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain user profiles policies and group access within the VDI platform.
- Coordinate patching upgrades and software deployment in the VDI environment.
- Troubleshoot issues related to virtual desktops applications and end-user experience.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance and secure configurations in VDI.
- Document system configurations standard operating procedures (SOPs) and support processes.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for incidents and service requests related to VDI and associated infrastructure.
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning related to VDI environments.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- 4–8 years of experience as a System Engineer with a specific focus on VDI technologies.
- Proficiency in Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp VMware Horizon or Microsoft AVD.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server Active Directory GPO DNS DHCP and networking basics.
- Experience with image management including gold/master image creation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with profile management tools (e.g. FSLogix Citrix UPM VMware DEM).
- Hands-on experience with thin clients endpoint management and monitoring tools.
- Scripting skills (e.g. PowerShell) for automation and task efficiency.
- Understanding of security best practices in a virtual desktop environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as Citrix Certified Associate/Professional (CCA/CCP) VMware VCP or Microsoft Azure certifications.
- Experience in cloud-based VDI environments (Azure AWS WorkSpaces etc.).
- Knowledge of ITIL practices for incident change and problem management.
- Exposure to multi-site enterprise environments and global deployments.
