Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Travel Position

Shift: 3x12s Rotating
Pay: $2627/week

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Aspen CO. The Med Surg Nurse will care for patients with a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions providing high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable detail-oriented and able to manage diverse patient needs across rotating shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care including assessments vital sign monitoring and administration of treatments.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies safely and accurately.
• Monitor and document patient progress changes in condition and responses to treatment.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians specialists and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and implement appropriate interventions.
• Maintain compliance with infection control and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in Colorado (or compact license).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support.
• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
• Strong clinical judgment communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to rotating shifts while delivering consistent high-quality care.
