Job Description

Within the Global affairs team in Europe the successful candidate helps shape the development and implementation of La Caisses objectives in Europe. They ensure the timely follow-up of files and the achievement of strategic pillars of the region. They also contribute to the building of strong relationships across the organization and with key external stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Contribute to the Global affairs teams activities across Europe particularly in regard to countries with high untapped investment potential such as Germany and the Nordics;

  • Support in raising and expanding La Caisses visibility and market activities in the region in a focused and targeted way;

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in pivotal countries;

  • Aid in advising the asset classes on issues such as the regulatory governmental or geopolitical context;

  • Be an essential partner in the execution of the strategic priorities in Europe:

    • Work closely with asset classes to support their investment strategy and implementation in Europe the asset classes being in the driving seat;

    • Help the Head of Europe to identify and exploit untapped opportunities in the context of changing trading relationships;

    • Collaborate with the Cheffes de file initiative and senior leaders of Qubec portfolio companies to expand opportunities for Qubec entrepreneurs and enterprises in Europe;

    • Support the development and prioritization of senior relationships including with government (federal and local) regulators key stakeholders in the investment community (Sovereign Wealth Funds Maple 8 etc.) which complement relationships held by the asset classes;

    • Contribute to the execution of a European media and communications strategy and program under the direction of the Communications and Brand team.

What you bring

  • An undergraduate degree in international business finance or economics;

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field;

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered;

  • Knowledge of key European markets and a strong desire to support a global La Caisse;

  • Excellent collaboration communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Experience in speech writing in public speaking and with PowerPoint are assets;

  • Mastery of English both spoken and written;

  • Knowledge of French is considered an asset.
