About the role
We have an opportunity for an experienced communications professional to join the UK Packaging team as their Corporate Affairs Director. This is a pivotal role for an experienced Comms professional to act as a strategic partner to the Sub-Regional Managing Director the wider Leadership Team and lead the communications agenda across UK&I.
This is a key leadership role where you would be to develop and implement communication strategies manage policy and government relations and advise the business on reputation management to support external media branding opportunities. This key role will also drive employee engagement and is central to embedding our values and co creating our internal communications strategy. Leveraging your natural gift for storytelling you will lead the delivery of communications projects and campaigns and continue to build on our colleague experience with 2-way engagement strategies which could include Town Halls Events and Conferences and other 2-way leadership communications channels.
This role will also require you to play a key role in anticipating external risk and lead on any crisis communications including media handling and stakeholder alignment.
A drive to lead by example coupled with the desire to build relationships with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders will allow the successful candidate to lead the Communication agenda for the UK&I region.
About you
- Demonstrable experience in corporate communications public affairs or corporate affairs from previous senior leadership roles within a complex global matrix organisation
- Proven success & knowledge of multi-channel techniques to reach a mix of connected and non-connected colleagues
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Outstanding project management skills with the ability to drive change within an organisation
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management with ability to collaborate and develop strong relationships with internal and external partners
- Drive determination and resilience with energy enthusiasm and a can-do attitude and behaviours
Location: This is a home-based role with travel to sites in UK&I as required.
