Bonus Type: This position is eligible for annual bonuses.
Annual Return on Assets Bonus Percentage (5 year average) 25.4% of eligible earnings
Annual Profit Sharing Bonus Percentage (5 year average) 20% of eligible earnings

Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
The Accounting Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:
All accounting functions including general ledger tax capital expenditures asset management financial and compliance reporting account reconciliations assisting with forecasting monthly balancing inventory management and recording and timely reporting of accounting records/transactions. Responsibilities include:
Oversight and execution of Nucors accounting reporting and internal control related activities in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP).
Manage the month-end accounting system close process produce all corporate and divisional reporting requirementsand ensure proper internal controls are maintained.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the production environment and functions as a financial liaison with the division management team.
Take a lead role in the implementation communication and interpretation of accounting and financial policies control and system improvements; supervision of external and internal audit processes and ensuring that proper internal controls are maintained.
Providing analytical support to departments as it relates to accounting issues and driving continuous cost improvements across all aspects of the business.
Training and the development and growth opportunities of accounting teammates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or Business related field.
Five (5) years experience in accounting or finance.
Three (3) years leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA or CMA
MBA
3 years of working in a manufacturing industry
3 years of ERP or Accounting Systems Experience
