Job Summary

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer New York (Onsite)

Location: New York USA (4 days/week onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: 8 15 Years

About the Team

This team is responsible for strategic work in streamlining and repurposing technology across business and distribution channels-including streaming linear and theatrical. The group manages:

Status aggregation across the supply chain ecosystem.
QC state tracking and auditing.
Search platform development for the content supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable software solutions using Java Python and functional programming (Scala preferred).
Work with AWS technologies and cloud infrastructure.
Build and integrate media players into web applications.
Ensure compliance with web standards and accessibility fundamentals.
Implement async programming models (events callbacks promises async/await).
Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins Git Docker and messaging systems (Kafka Kinesis SQS).
Contribute to system design testing deployment and ongoing optimization.

Basic Qualifications

Strong programming experience with Java and Python (Scala a plus).
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines source control and build systems (Jenkins Git Docker).
Experience with messaging technologies (Kafka Kinesis SQS etc.).
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Scala or functional programming.
AWS cloud technologies.
Web application integration with media players.
Familiarity with accessibility fundamentals and web standards.
BS in Computer Science Engineering or related field.

Must Have

Java Python (Scala a strong plus).
CI/CD Jenkins Git.
Excellent communication skills.
Candidate must be currently located in New York (role requires 4 days/week onsite).
