You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking an executive-level assistant to fill the Constituent Services Specialist position. This position is responsible for confidentially researching advising assisting and managing Constituents materials and requests from the general public inmates/offenders families/friends ADCRR/State agencies law enforcement agencies and other community groups.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

- Maintains confidentiality when responding verbally electronically and directly to inquiries concerning ADCRR operations inmate/offender programs and services and law enforcement information
- Assists constituents with the application process for inmate visitation which includes finding and submitting applications explaining the required paperwork needed to process visitation requests and costs answering questions about denied requests and providing information about the appeal process
- Guides constituents on the process to coordinate and request special visits
- Provides instruction on how a constituent updates their address and phone numbers with ADCRR
- Explains the rules and processes associated with inmate phone calls
- Provides appropriate documentation to constituents as needed
- Researches and reviews specific allegations and areas of concern utilizing available resources and databases (Arizona Criminal Information System (ACIS) online visitation enforcer scripts and other tools) as well as contacting complex Wardens Unit Administrators and the general public
- Addresses constituent questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner and explains possible outcomes while ensuring the constituents voices are heard and needs are met to the best of the agencys ability
- Provides accurate and current information in line with ADCRR policies procedures and applicable laws
- Creates and maintains reports and works on special projects for the Constituent Services Unit
- Documents all contacts including maintenance of telephone logs hard files and databases
- Organizes and maintains confidential and administrative files
- Refers constituents to appropriate staff as needed
- Attends meetings and trainings
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.11).
In an effort to maintain a safe environment all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
