Job Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Kuipers Customer Terminal engineering team is expanding our Aviation Operations team and is looking for an individual who wants to work on a leading operations developing integrating our world changing communication technology with our Aviation partners. This role will be a critical part of the terminal development working with cross functional stakeholders ranging from hardware software and business development from concept to end of manufacture. This is an amazing job opportunity blending the speed of consumer electronics development and aerospace compliance and validation.
Key job responsibilities
A Principal Operations Program Manager for Project Kuipe will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to conceive design and develop innovative consumer products. You must be responsive flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
In this role you will:
* Deliver results on complex projects involving cross functional teams across the company
* Manage operational execution at contract manufacturers to achieve program schedule.
* Work with stakeholders to define business requirements and product definition
* Contribute to and influence new product design and architecture
* Optimize manufacturing and supply chain for aviation programs
* Problem solve and explore solutions to current processes and systems
* Coordinate with cross functional teams to deliver a quality product on time and at cost
* Drive continuous improvement at suppliers and internally
* Monitor supply and fulfillment of customer terminals and their subsystems
*This role will require domestic and international travel.
Export Control Requirement
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
A day in the life
Will be the Single Threaded Owner for all Operations activities for manufacturing phased array antennas into aircraft. You will work with engineering software antenna business development product management each day to meet Kuipers delivery goals for customers.

Kuiper is one of the first LEO satellite constellations providing affordable broadband internet access across the world. This team is responsible for the design development and manufacturing with our aviation partners.
- 7 years of technical product or program management experience
- 10 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Aviation Manufacturing experience with LRU and subsystems including DO160/178 qualification
- 8 years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience with aircraft communication systems and testing of systems at LRU

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
