Service Manager

Location: Surrey Office St Surrey BC V3Z 1A5
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time Onsite
Anticipated Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m.
Salary: $110000 - $130000
Pay Schedule: Paid bi-weekly every second Friday

Reports To: Senior Vice President - Western Region

As we continue to grow were looking for a Service Manager to lead our Service Department in Surrey this role youll oversee the delivery of routine and emergency service as well as installation projects and related construction services. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hands-on environment and wants to build strong client relationships while leading a skilled service team.

What Youll Do

  • Lead and oversee the Service Department ensuring the successful delivery of both routine and emergency service work as well as the installation of construction and building envelope projects
  • Manage day-to-day operations across field and office functions setting priorities and driving performance
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships serving as the primary contact for service requests warranty work and maintenance contracts
  • Collaborate with Operations and Project Management teams to assess and determine warranty coverage for past projects
  • Coordinate service crews and small project assignments in partnership with internal teams
  • Drive department growth by increasing sales opportunities and leveraging
    our strong customer base
  • Develop and manage the department budget including competitive pricing for labour materials and service charges
  • Prepare review and support accurate estimates proposals and work orders
  • Ensure timely response resolution and follow-up on all service requests and emergency calls
  • Strengthen vendor and supplier partnerships to support material and equipment needs
  • Approve billings expenses and ensure financial accuracy for service work
  • Conduct pre-start and final project reviews with service teams ensuring warranty or billable status is clear and client expectations are met
  • Provide leadership mentorship and hands-on support to service team members as needed
  • Partner with Accounts Receivable to resolve disputes and maintain strong client relationships
  • Act as the escalation point for resolving service-related challenges ensuring issues are handled promptly and professionally

What You Bring to the Team

  • Proven track record (5 years) of departmental leadership including responsibility for operations budgets client relations and team management preferably within the construction or building envelope sector
  • Strong technical knowledge of roofing waterproofing cladding or glazing systems
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in the field and office
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with construction management software considered an asset
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
