Bruker India is looking for an experiencedAssistant Finance Manager to support the Finance Director for the Corporate Finance function based in Mumbai India. Essentially he/ she needs to oversee accounting financial reporting managing applicable audits statutory compliance tax management and regulatory filings. This role is key to ensuring accurate financial data management and timely compliance of various laws and seamless coordination with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage all general accounting functions including monthly quarterly and annual financial closings accounting operations consisting of accounts payable accruals fixed asset management and reporting (group consolidation management reporting local statutory and regulatory reporting) in line with Indian GAAP and corporate reporting requirements as per USGAAP.
- Ensure the timely and accurate submission of financial data and related reports to various stakeholders.
- Maintain internal accounting systems manage ERP data integrity and oversee reconciliation processes.
- Oversee all direct and indirect tax filings including GST TDS income tax and transfer pricing documentation in close collaboration with tax advisors and the Corporate Finance Team.
- Preparation of Advance Tax Working and self-Assessment tax working Corporate Income tax and review of all tax related payments and ensuring reasonableness of the tax liability under Income tax and GST etc.
- Liaise with external tax consultants and ensure full compliance with Indian tax laws and regulatory changes.
- Manage internal and external audits (statutory tax and internal controls).
- Manage secretarial compliance of the Indian entity preparation of board resolution ensuring all ROC filings board meetings and statutory registers are maintained in accordance with the Companies Act.
- Manage RBI compliance related filings and handling customs related compliance including SVB.
- Coordinate and work closely with the external tax consultants and others for compliance management.
- Foster collaboration across departments to ensure proper compliance support and financial transparency
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Maintain strong internal controls to prevent errors fraud or regulatory breaches
- Serve as a local point of contact for tax consultants auditors and internal audit teams and business teams
- Handle Intercompany related billing payments reconciliations and follow-up and compliance.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant
- Bachelors degree in accounting and finance
- 5 years experience in Statutory Audits Tax Audits Transfer Pricing Customs Accounting and Reporting Taxation (Direct and Indirect) etc.
- Deep understanding of Indian tax statutory and regulatory frameworks
- Prior experience working in an Indian subsidiary of a multinational corporation (Preferable)
- Extensive experience of managing and understanding P&L
- MUST be an excellent team player with good knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong analytical skills with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Results oriented and business focused
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management (local and global)
- Problem solver with a strong focus on integrity and compliance
- Strong team leadership experience and ability to motivate and engage the team
- Self-starter with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Preferably from US MNCs
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and details effectively and manage non-negotiable timelines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Driven by the process & policies
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly gain trust and confidence with the finance and operational teams throughout the Bruker
- Advanced PC skills MS Word and MS Excel and particularly knowledge of SAP ERP is desirable preferably with SAP S4 HANA will be an additional advantage
- Excellent communication skills with fluency (spoken and written) in English
